What is the benefit of Sales and Marketing alignment ?
There are many reasons/benefits to Sales and Marketing alignment. In fact it would be a mandatory requirement to achieve revenue maximization. CEOs have to make it one of their top priorities. And it is not easy. I encourage members to share their perspectives
Sales and Marketing Alignment helps:
1. Increasing revenue for the company
2. Improve CSAT/ NPS
3. Increase employee satisfaction
I agree with Sowmya. Revenue, CSAT and NPS upticks are certainly achieved by Sales and Marketing alignment.
On another note, there are several questions (of course associated viewpoints as well) - who owns it? Is it the Sales Head or Marketing Head or both or someone else? And who owns/drives it in your own organization? And what are the challenges? Observed and perceived?

Hi Sesha, I would think the alignment should be co-owned in order to operate without bias or function effectively in any organization. Marketing is the conduit between offering ( product/ services) and customer. While sales hunt and farm customers, marketing plays the role of connecting the "whatsinitforme" for customer. Both these functions should complement each other.
